In 1969, the Soviet Union lost the moon when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Sea of Tranquility and raised the American flag. Half a century later, Russian President Vladimir Putin lost the moon for his country again — forgetting what really makes a nation powerful and great in the 21st century.

When most people think of a space race, they think of the one conducted by the United States against the Soviet Union during the 1960s or the current one between the United States, and her allies, versus China. The Biden administration seems not to have thought things through when it ventured into "soak-the-rich" territory. The proposal is obviously a sop to Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent from Vermont, and members of "the Squad" who have targeted wealthy, successful taxpayers as enemies of the people. However, the more money that people such as Musk, Bezos, and Gates must pay to the government, the less they will have to invest in innovative technologies that will address the problems of space travel and climate change.

Recently, NASA held a presentation announcing the second round of Human Landing System selections to develop a second lunar lander to supplement the SpaceX Lunar Starship to take astronauts from lunar orbit to the lunar surface. However, in his opening remarks, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson noted that Artemis will consist of a series of expeditions to the moon in the decade following the planned return to the moon in 2025, to be followed by the first expedition to Mars in the late 2030s or early 2040s.

Apparently a space movie. Any relation with the real Project Artemis?
